The pre-show cocktails and seated dinner will be held under a large tent at 52 Castle Street, the site of the former freight yard. 

Cocktails begin at 4:30pm; dinner will be seated at 5:15pm.  

Following the dinner, paddle raise, and dessert, guests will move to the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center located at 14 Castle Street, a short walk from 52 Castle Street. Shuttles will be available for those who need assistance.

Tickets to the 8pm show will be provided in your Gala packet when you check in at the reception tent at 52 Castle Street.

Great Barrington will be the place to be on August 1, with both the Mahaiwe Gala and the Great Barrington Fire Association Car Show taking place.  Gala attendees should plan to arrive early and take advantage of reserved Mahaiwe parking (and shuttles) to stroll down Main Street taking in the car show, pop uphill from the theater to the Gala tent at 52 Castle Street for drinks and dinner, and end the evening with an 8pm show on the Mahaiwe stage by the sensational Samara Joy.   

Please be advised that Main Street in Great Barrington will be closed from State Road to Bridge Street from 4:30-7:30pm on Thursday, August 1 for the annual Great Barrington Fire Association’s antique car show. The Mahaiwe recommends attendees carpool if possible and arrive prior to 4pm. Gala Dinner Attendees should follow the below directions to arrive at designated Gala parking lots.

Take a right on Park Street and then a left on Division Street at Taft Farms. Continue on Division Street for about 3 miles and then turn left on Alford Rd. After two miles, take a slight left on Castle Street. 

Gala Platinum and Diamond Ticket Holders arriving from the South- after exiting the roundabout on Main Street, take the first left on South Street, then a right on West Avenue, and another right on Taconic Avenue. Turn left on Castle Street.

Shuttle vans will be available to transport guests from the Gala designated parking areas to 52 Castle Street (the reception and dinner site), to the theater (where Samara Joy will perform at 8pm), and back to the parking areas after the performance.  

Appropriate footwear is recommended for walking on the grassy field. We encourage you to dress appropriately for the summer weather. Festive attire with layers for the outside portion of the evening and the ability to add or remove layers while inside the theater is recommended. Weather-appropriate climate control will be utilized to ensure an atmosphere that is as comfortable as possible. 

The Old Inn on The Green is preparing a delicious meal. Gluten-free/vegetarian options will be available for those with dietary restrictions. Please inform your waiter if you require this option.  

For the pre-show reception, a bar will be available for drinks, and an assortment of hors d’oeuvres will be passed.  

The Mahaiwe Joy signature cocktail will be available along with wine, beer, non-alcoholic, and mocktail options.
